Royal Adhesives and Sealants offers a wide range of solvent-based and water-based adhesives to the foam and furniture fabrication market under the Silaprene® and Hydra FAST-EN® brand names.
Royal is a leader in the development of Silaprene solvent-based adhesives. We offer HAPs-free, HAPs-free low VOC, non- flammable, Cal compliant, and VOC-free formulations. These contact adhesives bond to a wide range of substrates including foams, plastics, metals, wood, fabrics, rubber vinyl, rubber, and many other substrates. Silaprene adhesives offer the following features:
- High initial green strength
- Excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates
- High heat resistance
- Long open time or short open time depending on your end-use requirement
- Excellent resistance to humidity, water, oil, alcohol & most aliphatic solvents
- Resistant to plasticizers
- Ease of spraying at low-pressures

Our Hydra FAST-EN® one and two-part, sprayable water-based adhesives are designed to bond open-cell polyurethane foam to a wide variety of other materials including closed-cell foams, fabrics, leathers, muslin, wood's FRP, plastics and various metals. Royal also has a line of equipment designed and manufactured specifically for these adhesives. The Hydra 55 and Portable Hydra 55 spray units provide easy transition to this type of technology. Today we have hundreds of these units in the field.
